Louise CooperLouise qualified in 1985 and gained a good Court training, working in one of Glasgow’s largest court based firms.

In 1988 she moved to Wilson Chalmers & Hendry to do Defender Damages work becoming a partner there in 1992.

Louise set up Reid Cooper with Jim in 1998 creating a niche firm acting for Insurers, Lloyd’s Syndicates, Claims Management organisations and the self-insured.

Louise is a qualified Solicitor Advocate entitled to appear in the Court of Session and before the House of Lords (now the Supreme Court).

In the course of her career Louise has worked on a variety of significant and sensitive cases for organisations as diverse as Local Authorities and Building Contractors.

She is a member of FOIL (Forum of Insurance Lawyers). Louise is also on the Board of Directors of the Alliance Francaise de Glasgow, established in 1982, which is one of thirteen AF teaching French in the United Kingdom. She is a keen golfer, currently playing off a handicap of 14.
