Jim set up Reid Cooper with Louise Cooper
in 1998 when both considered that developments in the insurance
market meant there was a significant place for a niche firm.
He
acts for a wide range of clients, including Police Forces and Fire
Brigades. He represented “Hangar 13” in the Ecstasy Deaths
Inquiry in Ayr, appeared in the Lanarkshire E-coli Inquiry and in a
number of recent Fatal Accident Inquiries involving Deaths in Custody.
Jim is a member of the Forum of Insurance
Lawyers (FOIL).
